PING is adding to its popular G410 line with the G410 LST (low-spin technology) driver, aimed at helping high swing speed players maintain low spin while still enjoying the advancements of both ball speed and adjustability features also found with the G410 Plus driver. The G410 LST has also lowered spin and increased MOI compared to the G400 LST. This driver is built with a shape and center of gravity that will appeal best to golfers with high swing speeds or players who produce high spin rates off the tee. Golfers with moderate swing speeds and/or low spin rates will want to try the PING G410 Plus or PING G410 SFT driver.
The Tech Story
The PING G410 LST driver boasts a number of significant improvements over the highly-successful G400 LST. The 450cc head shape has been slightly adjusted to give a more rounded, pear-shaped, traditional look at address. This shaping has also allowed the spin to be lowered by 200-400 RPM and the MOI to be increased by three percent compared to the G400 LST. As is the case with the G410 Plus, the G410 LST features Movable Weight Technology in the form of a weight located along the rear of the head that can be set to draw, neutral, or fade biases. Each setting represents 10 yards of correction, or 20 yards of correction overall between the draw and fade settings. Also worth noting is that the clubface sits slightly open in the standard setting, but the lie angle can be adjusted to flatter settings while the loft can be adjusted 1.5 degrees higher or lower. DragonFly technology consists of an ultra-thin crown that saves weight, which is used to add perimeter weighting for more forgiveness and add to the turbulator design on the crown. On the clubface, a scoreline pattern frames the impact area and a rougher face texture helps lower spin.
