Wilson Staff C300 Wedge
Who’s It For?
The Wilson Staff C300 irons are ideal for middle and high handicap players looking to hit their irons much higher and farther. However, unlike many game-improvement irons, Wilson Staff also made this set’s accuracy a priority during their design and construction. Another aspect that sets the C300 irons apart from its competitors is its profile. Many irons designed for high-handicap players appear clunky both at address and in the bag. But the C300 irons sport a nicely-sized top line and little offset, which gives them a striking look and creates a nice aesthetic.
The Tech Story
Due to the success of the company’s C200 irons, Wilson Staff decided to double down and tweak their current technology rather than starting from scratch. This meant increasing the number of Power Holes on the club from eight to ten. These slots are filled with TE031 Urethane to improve feel and feedback. There is also a stronger Rockwell Hardness C40 insert welded onto each face to greatly increase distance. The faces themselves are built using High Strength 17-4 steel that is extremely rigid and powerful. All in all, these innovations make the C300s the longest and most forgiving irons ever made by Wilson Staff.
