The 2023 Sanderson Farms produced one of the wildest finishes on the PGA Tour in some time, culminating with a 45-foot putt by Luke List on the first playoff hole to win. But that doesn't tell the whole story. Minutes before the playoff, Ben Griffin held a one-shot lead with just the 18th hole to play. But when his 8-foot par putt slid by, Griffin fell into a tie with List and THREE other players at 18-under-par.

With darkness looming and the possibility of getting up early in the morning becoming all too real, List buried the 45-foot putt to abruptly end the tournament and take home the trophy. It's the second career PGA Tour win for List, earning his first win roughly a year and a half ago at the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open.

List's bag includes some recognizable brands such as Titleist, TaylorMade, and PXG. See below for a review of the clubs List played to win the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Driver: Titleist TSR3

List games the Titleist TSR3 driver, one of the most successful drivers in at 2nd Swing fittings this year. Of note, the TSR3 driver is designed for high-speed players with a compact shape and a deep face that raises the center of gravity slightly vs the TSR2 model. Notorious for hitting the ball a long way, it's no surprise to see List game the TSR3. He finished the week 9th in driving distance at an average of 311 yards.

Fairway Woods: TaylorMade Stealth Plus (3-wood) and Stealth 2 (5-wood)

In the fairway wood category, List goes with TaylorMade. He games the prior-generation Stealth Plus model for a 3-wood, which features TaylorMade's V Steel technology in the form of an 80-gram steel sole plate that brings the center of gravity low and stabilizes the clubhead. However, a compact shape and the Zatech titanium face construction deliver both low spin and high ball speeds. The Stealth 2 5-wood, meanwhile, offers a larger profile aimed a high launch and control, making it well-suited to attack a long par-4 approach shot or a par-5 in two.

Irons: PXG 0311 ST Gen 4 (4-PW)

In addition to hitting bombs off the tee, List is also known as one of the better ball strikers on Tour. This week was no different. Using his PXG 0311 ST Gen 4 irons, built for workability and control, List finished the week T6 in Greens in Regulation, giving himself a birdie putt on 57 of 73 holes he played. Of note, these irons are also lower-spinning than most irons in their category, which seems to fit the trend for List playing clubs aimed at lower spin and a penetrating ball flight.

Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM9 (50, 54 degrees) and WedgeWorks T Grind (60 degrees)

The Titleist Vokey SM9 wedges are the most played wedges in professional golf. Bob Vokey continues to do wonders in wedge design, elevating performance with each new series while maintaining the classic look and feel that made his wedges famous in the first place. Worth noting is the T-grind prototype wedge List uses for his 60-degree wedge. The T Grind is designed with very little bounce and maximum versatility around the greens to allow players to make clean contact in firm lies and when opening and closing the clubface. List was a magician around the greens all week, finishing 6th in the field in strokes gained around the greens (3.456).

Putter: Scotty Cameron Fastback+ Prototype

It's an all-Titleist short game for List. The Fastback+ clubhead shape is a mid-mallet that offers the feel of a blade with added perimeter weighting positioned on the outside and behind the clubface that provides a touch of forgiveness and stability. When it comes to winning PGA Tour events, plenty of players hit the ball tee-to-green good enough to win every week. But it's the players that can get hot with the putter on top of the tee-to-green prowess that lift trophies. List finished the week 7th in strokes gained putting (6.002), and, of course, drilled the 45-foot bomb during the playoff to secure the win.
