Rose Zhang would birdie four of her final five holes, overcoming a three-stroke deficit in that span to secure his 2nd LPGA Tour victory at the Cognizant Founders Cup.

Zhang is a Callaway staffer and plays Callaway clubs throughout her bag, including some irons that were specifically designed in Japan.

Zhang starts off her bag with Callaway’s newest and lowest-spinning driver, the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond. She plays a 9 degree head up at 9.5 degrees with a Fujikura Ventus Red 5S shaft in it. Her driver plays at 45.5 inches with a swingweight of D2. The Triple Diamond model features a more compact head shape, allowing for lower-spin and more workability. It served Zhang well in accuracy as she hit 40 of 56 fairways. While Rose wasn’t long by any means, averaging 243 yards off the tee, she was able to put herself into position to score off the tee which is the most important aspect of driving.

Fairway Woods: Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max (3-Wood, 5-Wood)

For her fairway woods, Zhang stays within the Paradym Ai Smoke line, but opts for the Max model, which provides maximum forgiveness and consistent high launch within a modern shape. The 3-Wood in the Max line features an adjustable hosel, giving Rose plenty of versatility into how she wants her ball to fly. She plays her 3-wood at 14.5 degrees with a Fujikura Ventus Red 6S shaft in it. The shaft is cut to 43 inches and tipped an inch. For her 5-wood, she has the Ventus Red 6R shaft cut to 42 inches and tipped 1 inch, playing at a swingweight of D0.

Hybrid: Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke (22 Degrees)

Staying in the long game, but moving into the hybrid section where Zhang employs a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke hybrid and plays a 21 degree hybrid up at 22 degrees with the N/+1 setting, so replacing her 4-iron in her bag. The Ai-Smoke hybrid features a data-inspired Ai design that’s provided golfers with maximum distance, enhanced turf interaction and more forgiveness, making it an ideal fit for just about any player, whether you’re winning on the LPGA Tour or just a weekend golfer that plays at your local course.

Moving into Zhang’s irons and this is where her bag really stands out as unique. Zhang plays the Callaway X-Forged Star Japan Irons. The X-Forged Star Japan Irons were designed in Japan and are a one-piece soft forged iron that have a lot more feel to them. Zhang plays them at standard length and two degrees flat and she certainly likes the feel of them as they helped her hit 61 of 72 Greens In Regulation, an astounding number. Zhang’s irons are her strong suit too, with her ranking 11th in Strokes Gained Approach across the LPGA Tour prior to her winning this tournament, so that number should only get better with this performance.

Zhang uses the X-Forged Star A wedge in her bag, playing it at 49.5 degrees and combos that with a Jaws Raw 54 and Jaws Raw 58 degree wedges. Like her irons, Zhang was excellent with the wedges both in approach and around the green and converted 2 of her 3 sand save opportunities. Around the Green is one area where Zhang has struggled this year, ranking 83rd on Tour for the season, but showed improvement this weekend in play.

Zhang continues the trend of current generation clubs in her bag with her putter, playing an Odyssey Ai-One Double Wide. For the season, Zhang had been just average on the putting surface, ranking 89th on the Tour in Strokes Gained Putting. But this past week was a differen story where Zhang averaged 27 putts a round or 1.5 putts per hole. And when you’re finding 61 Greens in Regulation, putting like that means a whole lot of birdies and Zhang certainly had plenty of those en route to a final score of -24.
