Heading into the final round of the Men's Olympic Golf Competition, Scottie Scheffler was a longshot to even medal, let alone take home gold. But thanks to a course record-tying 9-under 62, including a 6-under 29 on the back 9, Scheffler was able to charge to the top of the leaderboard and win Olympic Gold.

Scheffler is in the midst of one of the best seasons of all-time and stayed with his proven setup that's now led to 7 victories, including a second Green Jacket and now Olympic Gold.

Driver: TaylorMade Qi10 

Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 7 X 

Scheffler continues to play with the TaylorMade Qi10 core model. He plays an 8 degree head and has it adjusted up to 8.25 degrees, and plays with a 45” Fujikura Ventus Black 7X shaft in it for a D4 Swing Weight. Scheffler was lethal off the tee. He was 9th in total distance and 15th in accuracy. That combination led him to a 3rd place finish in Strokes Gained Off the Tee.

3-Wood: TaylorMade Qi10

Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 8 X

Like his driver, Scheffler games the TaylorMade Qi10 core model for his 3-wood. He plays a 15 degree head at 14.25 degrees. He plays with a 42 5/16” Fujikura Ventus Black 8X shaft in it. He has the shaft tipped 1.5” and a D3 swing weight. 

Irons: Srixon ZU85 (3,4), TaylorMade P7TW (5-PW)

Shafts: Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3 Hybrid Prototype 10 X (3), True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100

Scheffler still combos a pair of Srixon ZU85 utility irons with his TaylorMade P7TW’s. They've been the most dominant clubs in his bag all year long and they delivered once again in Paris. Scheffler ranked 4th in the field in Green in Regulation percentage, hitting 59 of 72. That played a key part in him leading the field in Strokes Gained Approach.

Wedges: Titleist Vokey Design SM8 (50-12F, 56-14F), Vokey Design Wedgeworks (60-T)

Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400

Like the rest of his bag, Scheffler's winning wedges remained the same, a combo of Vokey SM8's with a Vokey Wedgeworks 60 degree. They played their part in his approach performance and were solid around the green too. He converted 13 of his 20 up-and-down opportunities, which was 27th best for the tournament. They also helped him finish 8th in Stroke Gained Around the Green.

Finally, it's the club that usually determines if Scheffler wins a tournament or not. If he putts about average, the rest of his game is so good, he's usually winning or right up at the top of the leaderboard and the Olympics proved to be no different. Though he finished 38th in the field in Strokes Gained Putting, which was slightly below average, he did putt best when he needed it most. In Sunday's final round, when Scheffler made his charge, he finished 9th in Strokes Gained Putting. That performance on the greens with how he struck the ball allowed him to add another historical achievement to his already sensational season, and young career.
