About the Solheim Cup
The Solheim Cup is a biennial golf tournament contested between teams of professional women golfers from the United States and Europe. It's considered the most prestigious international women's professional golf team event, with a format similar to the Ryder Cup. The competition features various match-play formats over three days, culminating in a thrilling final day of singles matches. The 2024 edition of the Solheim Cup was won by the United States at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia.
