From the driver through the irons, the G LE 2 line focuses on providing supreme forgiveness, higher launch and increased distance through various technological advances, making this complete set a fit for many golfers, no matter the skill level.

The Tech Story

The PING G LE 2 series built upon the successful original G LE lineup. The clubhead of the G LE2 driver has been tweaked and made more aerodynamic, allowing golfers to increase clubhead speed during the downswing. Extra weighting has been added to the heel side of the clubhead, allowing the clubhead to turn over easier at the point of contact and prevent the block or slice miss. A thinner, stronger T9S+ clubface increases deflection energy, specifically on mis-hits, to increase forgiveness and MOI. The marquee additional technology in the G LE2 fairway woods is the added adjustability in the form of an eight-position hosel sleeve. Golfers can now make adjustments to loft and lie in the fairway woods, further enhancing the performance of the clubs for each golfer. Meanwhile, PING has implemented a thinner, faster maraging C300 clubface, resulting in increased MOI and higher ball speeds. The hybrids are designed with a thinner, hotter 455 Carpenter clubface to promote not only faster ball speeds, but also added forgiveness on mis-hits thanks to more stability on the outside parts of the clubface. PING also included a lower, deeper center of gravity position compared to the previous model, resulting in higher-launching shots that carry further. The G LE2 irons are perhaps PING’s most forgiving lightweight iron set thanks to COR-Eye technology paired with a toprail undercut cavity design, which combine to increase face flexing and MOI by 10 percent. This increase results in added distance and performance on both center and off-center strikes. PING has also implemented a co-molded cavity badge that enhances sound and feel. A deep center of gravity location ensures that shots will be launched higher and farther than previous models. The bag is completed with a G LE 2 Shea Putter, which is a mid-mallet model designed for players with a strong arc in their putting stroke. It features PING’s dual durometer face insert, which has a soft front layer and a firm back layer to provide the ideal feel and feedback at impact of each putt.
