TaylorMade 2016 M2 Driver
Who’s It For?
Historically, creating products that provide both exceptional distance and forgiveness has been challenging, often achieving one benefit at the expense of the other. However, the M2 successfully caters to golfers who seek both advantages. Designed with a multi-material construction similar to the M1, the M2 features an ultra-light, ultra-thin, and high-strength Carbon Composite Crown, making it ideal for golfers who want to maximize both distance and forgiveness in their game.
The Tech Story
The TaylorMade M2 Driver is engineered with advanced technology to deliver exceptional performance for golfers. Central to the M2 is its multi-material construction, featuring a proprietary 7-layer Carbon Composite Crown that is ultra-thin, ultra-light, and high-strength, maximizing weight savings and allowing weight to be positioned lower and further back on the sole for enhanced power transfer and increased ball speed. The M2 driver also boasts a massive sweet spot, thanks to high MOI, Inverted Cone Technology, and a redesigned Speed Pocket, which together ensure maximum forgiveness and speed across the face. Additionally, the M2 excels in trajectory, combining a low CG with exceptional aerodynamics for a hot, high launch/low spin trajectory that is both fast and forgiving. Further enhancing the M2's appeal are its best-in-class sound, achieved through internal acoustic engineering, and an adjustable loft sleeve offering 12 positions with a 4° range (+/- 2° of loft) to fine-tune loft, lie, and face angle. Multiple shaft options, including the stock Fujikura Pro 60, ensure ideal performance for all player types, making the M2 a versatile and high-performing choice for golfers.
