The improved slot technology increases the Characteristc Time (CT), a measure of how long the face and ball are in contact at impact. The CT of this club is near the limit set by the USGA, meaning this fairway wood has one of the hottest faces you'll find. The multi-material construction allows the face and crown to be lighter, moving the Center of Gravity lower. The design of the slots and CG together produce longer shots from increased launch angle and ball speed while maintaining low spin (LS).
