Big Bertha is back! The 2014 Callaway Big Bertha fairway woods give players a combination of distance, forgiveness and adjustability that is hard to beat. The addition of Callaway's stong and thin 455 carpener steel face cup boosts ball speeds for a hotter face. By using an internal standing wave engineers were also able to position the clubs center of gravity (CG) low and forword resulting in higher launch, lower spin, and more efficient energy transfer at impact. The 2014 Big Bertha fairway woods wouldn't be deserving of the Big Bertha name if they didn't also offer forgiveness as well. Callaway added more perimeter weighting to increase moment of inertia (MOI) so the face resists twisting at impact for more consistent performance, even on off-center hits. What really makes these fairway woods stand out is the level of adjustability offered by the OptiFit hosel. This system allows for eight different loft/lie configurations so you can fine tune performance and go "Bertha Long".
