Cobra’s new FMAX Superlite fairway woods feature a lightweight design that makes it easier for players with more moderate swing speeds to generate the added distance they want and need. If you’re someone who struggles to produce as much clubhead speed as you’d like and you’re also looking for the ability to get the ball in the air more easily and forgiveness on off-center strikes, the FMAX Superlite fairway woods are definitely worth a look.
The Tech Story
When compared to their predecessors, the new Cobra FMAX Superlite fairway woods feature a clubhead that’s four grams lighter, a shaft that’s five grams lighter, and a grip that’s seven grams lighter. That significant reduction in the overall weight of the club is making is easier for players to maximize their swing speed and generate more distance and higher launch conditions. FMAX Superlite fairways also feature a forged 455 stainless steel face insert to help increase ball speed, and a shallow face design makes it easier for golfers to elevate the ball from the turf or a tee. Weight has also been positioned low and deep in the clubhead and slightly toward the heel to increase MOI and make it easier for golfers to square the face at impact, and an offset hosel design will prove beneficial for players who fight a miss to the right.
