The new 2019 TaylorMade M2 fairway woods are designed to provide exceptional distance and forgiveness through Geocoustic Technology. TaylorMade has also implemented a few updates over the previous M2 models that are aimed at increasing inertia at impact and adding ball speed. The new M2s will work best for golfers looking for added distance or forgiveness from their fairway woods. Golfers with higher swing speeds or those looking for more sole weight adjustability will want to look at the TaylorMade M3 or M5 fairway woods. The 2019 M2 fairway woods are available in men’s and women’s.
The Tech Story
While Geocoustic Technology headlines the innovations found within the new M2 driver from TaylorMade, several other construction updates have also been made to drive performance. For instance, TaylorMade used a recessed six-layer carbon composite crown to save weight and drop the center of gravity. Additionally, Inverted Cone technology has been implemented to include a larger sweet spot and a faster face. The new M2 also includes a new Speed Pocket that is three times more flexible than it was in the original M2. And of course, Geocoustic Technology combines geometry and acoustical engineering to unlock more forgiveness and excellent sound through a two-tiered sole.
