The Titleist 909F2 fairway wood is a performance fairway wood that yields a high launch shot with moderate spin. The face of the 909F2 is longer and larger to increase both confidence and forgiveness. The Center of Gravity is deeper to increase dynamic loft at impact. This, coupled with the half-degree increase in lofts, gives the 909F2 a higher initial launch that helps players get the ball up and out of any situation. The head is cast from 17-4 stainless steel with a 275 Carpenter steel face insert for faster ball speeds.
