Cobra’s new FMAX Superlite hybrids offer a lightweight construction that makes it possible for players with slower and more moderate swing speeds to generate the distance they want and need. If you’re a golfer who struggles to produce as much clubhead speed as you’d like and you also need the ability to get the ball in the air more easily, as well as added forgiveness on off-center strikes, the FMAX Superlite hybrids could be a great option.
The Tech Story
The FMAX Superlite hybrids from Cobra feature a similar technology story to the Superlite fairway wood, with significant weight savings from grip to clubhead being the key story. More specifically, the Superlite hybrids feature a clubhead that’s seven grams lighter, a shaft that’s five grams lighter, and a grip that’s seven grams lighter than its predecessor. That weight reduction to the golf club makes it easier for players to maximize swing speed and generate more distance and higher launch. FMAX Superlite hybrids also feature a 455 stainless steel face insert to help increase ball speed, and a more shallow clubface helps golfers launch the ball more effectively from the turf. A weight pad has also been positioned low and deep in the clubhead and slightly toward the heel to provide increased stability at impact, while also making it easier for golfers to square the face at impact. And finally, an offset hosel design will prove beneficial for players who typically fight a slice or a block.
