When it began the process of creating its new Z H85 hybrids, goal no. 1 for Srixon was to make the new hybrids both more playable and an even better fit for a wider range of golfer. That has been accomplished by designing the Z H85 hybrids with a slightly larger profile than the Z H65, which makes them more effective from a tee as well as the fairway while also making them more forgiving on off-center strikes. That combination, along with a clean, tour-inspired shape, should make these hybrids a good candidate for any player’s bag.
The Tech Story
As mentioned above, a new, larger profile is highlighting improved performance when it comes to Srixon’s new Z H85 hybrids, as they are now more versatile and forgiving thanks to the new shape. Additionally, they still feature a low, deep CG position to provide effortless launch, impressive ball speeds, and resistance to twisting at impact on heel and toe strikes. Also new with the Z H85 hybrids is a crown step that helps enable the low center of gravity and improves aerodynamics to allow players to maximize clubhead speed during the swing. The stock shaft for the Z H85 hybrids is the popular Project X HZRDUS Black 85, which is known for being smooth and stable while also giving players a strong, penetrating ball flight.
