Callaway Apex 21 Iron Set
Who’s It For?
Callaway’s new Apex 21 Irons are the result of the company’s efforts to create forged irons that feel like blades but do not compromise distance or forgiveness. With a new forged 1025 body and Callaway’s patented urethane microspheres, the Apex 21 irons feature an excellent blend of sound and feel at impact. As opposed to Callaway’s other 2021 iron offerings, the Apex 21 Pros and Apex DCBs, the Apex Pro 21s are intended for mid-handicappers and below, specifically those with a handicap index between 5 and 15.
The Tech Story
This year, for the first time, Callaway’s engineers utilized artificial intelligence while designing their irons. This process was critical in creating the new Flash Face Cup technology, which promotes high-COR strikes that generate huge ball speeds and consistent spin numbers. With a moderate amount of offset and a standard topline, this iron set presents a welcoming, attractive aesthetic at address. Also, Callaway’s engineers enhanced the shape of each clubhead to create better turf interaction than ever before. Finally, thanks to the new Tungsten Energy Core implemented in the Apex 21 Irons, these clubs promote outstanding launch conditions and increased forgiveness, even on off-center strikes.
