Cobra Golf's Fly-Z XL Irons are designed and engineered to be an easy hitting, forgiving and inspire confidence just like the rest of the Fly-Z XL product line. It was introduced late in the 2014 season, but it is intended to be part of the full line of releases in 2015 from Cobra Golf. Sticking with Cobra Golf’s traditions of producing oversized heads that deliver easy distance and consistently high trajectories, the Fly-Z XL irons are no exception. A new feature introduced into all of the Cobra golf metal woods and into this set of irons, is the Speed Channel Face, which is similar to other compression channels in regards to its ability to allow the face to flex. This innovation increases forgiveness and ball speed no matter where you strike the ball. In addition the Fly-Z XL features a split set, meaning the long and mid irons (4 -8) are designed differently than the scoring irons (9-SW). The long and mid irons have a hollow cavity design that lowers the CG to increase launch and it also makes it more forgiving. The Scoring irons feature a perimeter undercut design, which moves weight away from the top of the face, and that not only helps with the forgiveness but also increases the accuracy of every shot.
