Distance is the name of the game in the golf today, and Miura has taken note of that with its latest iron set release. The CB-301 irons are the longest irons Miura has ever produced. The 1025 forged carbon steel design provides a cavity back that offers forgiveness and distance for golfers of many skill levels while maintaining Tour-inspired feel, shape, and workability. The CB-301 irons fall into the Players-Distance category, indicating that they are best suited for low- to mid-handicap golfers searching for a bit more distance from their irons.
The Tech Story
Miura has become a staple in the golf equipment industry as a premier manufacturer of forged blade irons. However, Miura targeted a different demographic with its latest release of the CB-301 irons, the first fully-forged cavity back iron set Miura has released in eight years. The set is still forged like many of Miura’s other releases, but it also includes a cavity back design to promote forgiveness and higher MOI generally not found in blade sets. The new CB-301 irons also feature stronger lofts that are a result of a new wider sole design and new internal weight redistribution. Additionally, more mass has been positioned on the outside and lower portion of the club head, creating a low center of gravity which generates high launch and produces more distance, especially with the stronger lofts. In terms of appearance, the CB-301 irons offer a slick, yet powerful look at address combated with a chrome satin finish.
