The Tech Story

Mizuno has built its reputation on developing superb forged players irons. Most of these models can be found in Mizuno’s MP lineup. However, the JPX 921 Tour looks and performs like some of Mizuno’s excellent MP models. The JPX 921 Tour shape has been refined slightly, but it maintains the impressive combination of precision, consistency, and stability. These irons are forged through Mizuno’s patented Grain Flow Forging process from 1025 soft carbon steel for tremendous feel. The Stability Frame in the JPX 921 Tour concentrates toe bias weighting for a precise center of gravity location that produces a consistent flight. Mizuno narrowed the sole for cleaner turf interaction and made the area behind impact slightly thicker for improved feel. 

The result of all these innovations is a clean and compact shallow cavity-back iron that delivers consistency and classic Mizuno forged feel.
