Nothing feels like a Mizuno and the Mizuno Pro line more than lives up to that standard. The Mizuno Pro 245 is a hollow body iron with a thinner top line and shorter head length for a classic iron look, and is measurably quicker from the face than the Pro 243 but also easier to launch. It’s designed for players looking for increased ball speed and higher launch.
The Tech Story
The Mizuno Pro 245 irons represent a fusion of classic aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. Grain Flow Forged in Hiroshima, Japan, at Mizuno's exclusive facility, these irons benefit from decades of expertise. A soft copper underlay beneath the nickel chrome finish enhances the feel of the forged heads, while Harmonic Impact Technology fine-tunes vibration patterns for a muscle-back-like sensation. The 2-8 irons feature a hollow body construction with a GFF 4135 Chromoly face and neck, coupled with a multi-thickness face and laser-welded 431 stainless steel back, maximizing ball speeds and launch. Internal tungsten weighting (2-7), strategically suspended to allow sole flex, further aids launch. The 9-GW are more compact, partial hollow scoring irons crafted from GFF HD 1025E with a 17-4 stainless steel back for a penetrating flight. While maintaining a traditional blade appearance, the Pro 245's shape and proportions are optimized for performance, and increased bounce angles in the long and scoring irons improve turf interaction.
