Who’s It For?

When Tiger Woods joined TaylorMade a couple of years ago, his No. 1 priority was working with the company to build a set of irons that fit his swing, his specifications, and his preferred feel. Woods and TaylorMade engineers worked together to create the P7TW irons, which Woods has used since signing with TaylorMade. Long story short, these irons are built for Tiger Woods, arguably the best ball striker to have ever existed. The long blade, slim topline, and small profile provide exceptional workability for elite ball strikers who consistently find the center of the clubface.

The Tech Story

TaylorMade made sure to construct the P7TW irons to meet Tiger’s eye. This meant forging each clubhead out of 1025 carbon steel and including a precision-milled sole and face. Meanwhile, the shape is similar to some of the irons Woods has played in the past with a longer blade length, thinner topline, and progressive face height. These characteristics create the ideal conditions for workability and shot-shaping from each iron. Additionally, the Milled Grind sole makes its debut in TaylorMade irons to eliminate variances in sole geometry from head to head and ensures precision with each club in each set. The sole geometry has been CNC machined with a precise leading edge, resulting in clean, consistent turf interaction throughout the set.
