The Tech Story

L.A.B. Golf had always aspired to craft a tour-inspired putter, driven by a fascination with the nuanced preferences of professional golfers. This ambition led them to collaborate with Adam Scott, who envisioned a putter with design cues from a German sports car and a classic mallet. Through iterative prototyping, feedback and a deep understanding of Lie Angle Balance, the OZ.1 was born, their first half-moon style mallet featuring a solid-body construction for exceptional feel and stability. Maintaining the forgiveness of their acclaimed DF3 and MEZZ.1 MAX putters, the OZ.1 ensures optimal accuracy and roll. The OZ.1i comes with a stainless steel insert for a firmer feel and faster ball speeds, while the all-aluminum OZ.1 Custom and OZ.1 Stock models offer a softer feel. In terms of size and shape, OZ.1i and OZ.1 are exactly the same. For the ultimate in personalized performance, the OZ.1i Custom and OZ.1 Custom are available with two shaft lean options. Choose the 0-Degree (Vertical) Shaft Lean for a traditional look and compatibility with standard grips, or the 2-Degree Shaft Lean, like our DF3, designed for use with a Press Grip.
