TaylorMade’s new Spider SR Putter is a glittering new addition to the manufacturer’s wildly successful Spider line. With professionals and amateurs alike flocking to mallet designs in recent years, the demand for a putter head that promises both feel and stability has never been higher. The Spider SR meets that challenge head-on by producing world-class sound, feel, and roll characteristics. The putter also offers two different hosel options. This option, the Spider SR Flow Neck, sports 22 degrees of toe hang, making it ideal for putting strokes with a moderate arc.
The Tech Story
With the Spider SR Flow Neck, TaylorMade’s engineers managed to fit a tremendous amount of technology into a sleek, streamlined putter head. The clubhead was constructed using a multi-material design with heavy, cast-in steel sole weights and tungsten/steel back weights. The premium materials and precise weighting maximize the Spider SR Flow Neck’s MOI, making it highly forgiving. TaylorMade’s Spider SR Flow Neck also features a brand new Fluted Feel shaft, which increases stability while tightening dispersion. Finally, this putter sports a White TPU Pure Roll insert. With grooves set at a 45-degree angle, this insert generates an optimal forward roll while, at the same time, enhancing feel.
