New in 2024 is the B3 Triple Black Design LTD line, a limited run of popular, playable designs crafted in a highly desirable Tour Black finish. Each of the putters “Triple Black” design features a black finish, black shaft, and black grip. Since his early Classics line, Scotty Cameron has crafted putters with dark finishes and complementary color schemes. The B3 Triple Black Design LTD Catalina revives this concept with a nostalgic name and a thoroughly modern design. Slightly wider than a standard Newport and based on the Super Select Newport Plus design—though without the aircraft aluminum soleplate—this new Catalina head features a clean single bend shaft for near-face balanced performance. This updated model offers a more player-friendly blade length compared to the original, blending classic inspiration with contemporary innovation.

The Tech Story

The Scotty Cameron B3 Triple Black Design LTD Newport 2  Long putter features a Tour Black Finish, preferred by many Tour pros and those players who prefer a dark putter to reduce sun glare. This PVD treatment is meticulously applied to the 303 stainless steel putter head following manual misting of the topline and back, and hand buffing of the face and sole. The chrome shaft is finished in the same Tour Black, with a black Pistolini Plus grip completing the “triple black design.” The single bend shaft is tailored for players who utilize a straight-back-straight-through putting stroke, offering near-face balanced performance with reduced toe hang. This design provides a unique view of the topline from address due to the absence of a traditional neck. The putter also incorporates dual-milled face technology, combining the legendary softness of deep-milled putters with the consistency and feedback of mid-milled options, delivering a tour-inspired feel with a player-preferred face texture.
