Who’s It For?

In addition to the rising popularity of the players-distance iron category, the utility iron category is also growing, especially for professionals. Honma’s Tour World (TW) X irons are constructed just like a players iron with thicker shaping for added forgiveness. For consistent ball strikers, this type of club could be used as a long-iron replacement to provide that added forgiveness where it may be needed. For low- to mid-handicap golfers, an entire set of TW-X irons could be a perfect combination of control and forgiveness.

The Tech Story

The TW-X irons from Honma are a modern players-distance iron design that is built for both control and forgiveness. Each clubhead is forged from a carbon body to provide the feel of a players iron. Meanwhile, a MS300 clubface is attached to the 25C body, providing that combination of tremendous feel and fast speed. A wide-cambered sole and low, game-improvement weight positioning create high-launch conditions that are not present in traditional players irons. These irons have been created by master craftsmen in Japan, delivering the terrific appearance. Additionally, the TW-X irons have been Tour-validated, as professionals have put these irons in the back as utility irons and enjoyed the performance.
