Mizuno JPX 923 Tour Single Iron
Who’s It For?
New Mizuno irons are always exciting, especially when it’s a forged iron. For decades, Mizuno has been lauded for the superb feel in its forged irons. The JPX Tour model is consistently Mizuno’s most played iron model in professional golf among players on staff and off staff with Mizuno. The JPX 923 Tour includes yet another element that will provide even smoother feel, in addition to a compact shape and workability demanded by better players.
The Tech Story
All forged Mizuno irons begin with the Grain Flow Forging process from 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel at Mizuno’s iconic facility in Japan. This process has consistently produced some of the softest feeling irons in golf. And now in the JPX 923 Tour, Mizuno has added a soft copper underlay between the base Nickel and outer Chrome for even better feel. Plus, a new V-Chassis enables a thinner topline and creates muscle-back type vibrations from a cavity design. A generously rolled leading edge enables versatility and fantastic turf interaction, while the shorter irons have been refined for more control through noticeably shorter blade lengths. The JPX 923 Tour irons fall into the players iron category and best fit better golfers with single-digit handicaps.
