TaylorMade’s P700 iron series has been highly successful over the past few years, and TaylorMade has decided to add more options to fit more golfers. New in 2020 is the P7MC irons, which have been designed for tour players and skilled ball-strikers. The compact head shape creates a look preferred by the best of the best. However, the muscle cavity adds a little bit of forgiveness while maintaining excellent workability and control.
The Tech Story
The P7MC irons feature a tour-inspired shape that has been designed after gathering feedback from some of the world’s best players, including several players on TaylorMade’s tour staff. The result is an iron with a thin topline, progressive offset, and a narrow sole. The P7MCs are built through TaylorMade’s Compact Grain Forging process from 1025 carbon steel for a tighter, more compact grain structure designed to provide the most solid and consistent feel possible. Additionally, the grooves on the clubface are machined to guarantee precision and promote ultimate shot-making ability. To add a touch of forgiveness, The P7MCs include a muscle cavity along the back of the clubhead that is designed to add performance when contact is made off-center. However, make no mistake about it, this is a players iron and the feel, workability, and control supports that.
