Srixon has become known for creating beautiful sets of irons, and this has extended to the utility iron category. New in 2021 is the Srixon ZX Utility, which carries many of the same characteristics as previous Srixon utility irons but in a more compact and slimmer clubhead shape. This shape will most likely appeal to more skilled players, but of course, every golfer has different preferences. In terms of the performance, the Srixon ZX Utility is best suited for golfers looking for a lower-launching, forgiving option to bridge the gap between their longest irons and highest-lofted fairway woods.
The Tech Story
Headlining the Srixon ZX Utility iron is MainFrame technology, which was developed with the help of Artificial Intelligence to generate explosive distance and superb performance no matter where the ball contacts the clubface. It consists of a milled pattern on the backside of the clubface that optimizes COR on each shot. Also included with the Srixon ZX Utility is a hollow body design that stabilizes the clubhead at impact and delivers forgiveness without sacrificing a low launch and high ball speed. The multipiece construction includes a forged 1020 carbon steel body for soft feel, a SUP10 steel face that creates superb face flexing, and high-density tungsten at the base of each iron to lower the center of gravity. Additionally, the Srixon ZX Utility irons feature a smaller and more compact shape than previous generations to offer a sleeker profile that blends more seamlessly with any iron set.
