Utility irons have become increasingly popular over the last few years as a way for golfers to bridge the gap between fairway woods and long irons. While the hybrid design is perhaps the more popular option that fits the widest range of golfers, the utility iron delivers a more iron-like appearance with added workability and a lower ball flight than a hybrid. The EXS Ti-Utility is designed for consistent ball strikers with high swing speeds looking for a low-spin, workable, yet forgiving option for that long iron distance.
The Tech Story
The utility iron is one of the fastest-growing product types in golf. Many golfers are doing away with “traditional” hybrids and instead opting for the iron-like appearance and performance of a utility iron. The EXS Ti-utility features a hollow body design with a Beta titanium L-cup face that wraps around the leading age to act as a hinge to provide maximum power and ball speed from all over the face. The EXS Ti-utility clubs were built with a Combo Brazing method that fuses titanium to steel, reducing weight in the face and allowing for a more pure transfer of energy from club to ball. The compact, classic face shape is combined with a rounded hybrid-style sole to provide the best parts of a traditional iron and a hybrid.
