Callaway Jaws Raw Chrome Wedge
Who’s It For?
Featuring the most aggressive grooves in golf, the Callaway Jaws Raw Chrome Wedge promotes maximum spin. For the first time ever, Callaway is bringing tungsten technology to a wedge, for a weight balanced club that offers both feel and control. These new technologies are balanced with the craftsmanship honed from Roger Cleveland's 40+ years of designing some of the most sought-after wedges in golf.
The Tech Story
The Callaway Jaws Raw Chrome Wedge lineup offers a complete range of options for golfers seeking precision and versatility around the greens. Designed by renowned wedge craftsman Roger Cleveland, these wedges feature a classic, tour-inspired shape with a straighter leading edge and a smooth hosel connection for a clean, professional look. The comprehensive lineup includes six distinct grind options, including the all-new Z grind and a crescent-shaped C grind, alongside the familiar S, W, and X grinds, providing 28 loft and bounce combinations across two finishes and shapes to suit diverse swing styles and turf conditions. Performance is further enhanced by variable length hosels, which optimize trajectory and forgiveness across the different lofts, and the meticulous crafting of each Pitch, Gap, Sand, and Lob wedge to maximize its specific performance benefits. A key innovation is the introduction of tungsten weighting in the sand and lob wedges, a first for Callaway, which strategically centers the center of gravity for improved feel and control. This combination of tour-proven design elements and cutting-edge technology makes the Jaws Raw a formidable scoring tool for any golfer.
Facts and Figures
T-Grind (6° Bounce): A favorite on Tour, the T-Grind enables precise shotmaking for skilled players who keep the leading edge low. The lower bounce allows golfers to take ultra shallow divots to get up and down from any lie condition
C-Grind (8° Bounce): This is a popular grind among our Tour players and elite amateurs who love hitting different types of greenside shots. The leading edge stays low, even when you open the face for all types of greenside shots
J-Grind (10° Bounce): This is only offered on our full toe wedges to help expose the generous amount of bounce. It’s ideal for players who want more forgiveness out of the bunker and who like to open the face around the green
Z-Grind (8° Bounce): This grind has an aggressive leading edge that acts as a skid plate for better turf interaction. It also reduces digging and is ideal for players who like to open the face around the greens
S-Grind (10° Bounce): This is our most versatile and most common option as it is great for a variety of conditions (firm, soft, or normal) as well as different shot types and swings.
W-Grind (12° Bounce): This is our widest and most forgiving sole grind. It promotes skidding and reduces digging and is ideal in soft course conditions or players with a deep divot.
X-Grind (12° Bounce): This grind has a high-bounce sole with more heel and toe relief. The high bounce helps moderate steep angles of attack on medium to soft course conditions
