Over the last couple of decades, Titleist has become a go-to brand in golf for players seeking better iron performance. And recently, Titleist has improved upon the variety of models it produces to make sure every type of golfer can get better performance. New in 2023 is the latest generation of the Titleist T-Series irons, which features four new iron models each designed with specific characteristics to help golfers shoot lower scores.

Titleist calls the 2023 T100 the “modern tour iron.” The T100 is the most popular iron on tour, played by a number of the world’s best ball strikers. The new Titleist T150 irons are what Titleist calls “the faster tour irons.” The T150 irons feature many of the same characteristics as the T100 irons, including the shape and appearance at address as well as the soft, buttery feel. Dense D18 tungsten weighting has been precisely placed in each iron to promote the ideal launch conditions and stability.

New levels of performance and feel are driven by the new multi-material, hollow-body construction, directly inspired by T200’s chassis. In other words, the T350 behaves like a big brother to the T200, offering more explosiveness in a slightly bigger package, but retaining the T200 feel.

Titleist hybrids have been the most played on the PGA Tour for nearly a decade, so the release of the Titleist TSR2 hybrid and Titleist TSR3 hybrid comes with significant anticipation. Titleist has set a high standard in the hybrid category, but it appears they’ve reset the standard with the TSR family. Each Titleist TSR hybrid features several technologies to deliver consistently fast ball speeds and smooth turf interaction. Notable in both models is the addition of sole relief pockets designed to move the club faster through all turf conditions. Less surface area on the sole leads to less friction, or less chance to grab.

The new Titleist TSR metalwood family has been an enormous win in the 2nd Swing fitting bays already. Now, Titleist has added to the TSR family with the release of the TSR1 metals, which include the TSR1 driver, TSR1 fairway wood, and TSR1 hybrid. These clubs have been specifically engineered for players with moderate swing speeds, which is roughly 90 miles per hour or lower with the driver.

According to Titleist, roughly a third of all golfers worldwide fall into this category, so the TSR1 performance is beneficial for a huge range of players. Titleist delivered the goods with the TSR1 hybrid as well. The hybrid can be the most important club (or clubs) in the bag for many golfers in the moderate swing speed category, so Titleist made sure to achieve more speed and higher MOI. A larger “wood-type” clubhead allows for a deeper center of gravity. Despite a larger clubhead volume, the TSR1 hybrid’s swingweight is not increased compared to the TSi1. Plus, the TSR1 hybrid shafts utilize a .335 fairway tip and are a half inch longer than prior models for increased spin and launch.
